AGE AGM 2021 … Dr. Jennifer Dobbelsteyn presents “Practicing Reconciliation: Conducting Culturally Safe Research and Program Development with Indigenous Peoples.”

Sharing a thought-provoking and motivating presentation by Dr. Jennifer Dobblesteyn who spoke at our AGE Inc. AGM on Tuesday evening, September 28th, 2021. Her presentation is titled “Practicing Reconciliation: Conducting Culturally Safe Research and Program Development with Indigenous Peoples.”

We thank Dr. Dobbelsteyn, her team and members of the Elsipogtog First Nation in New Brunswick, Canada for enhancing our understanding of Indigenous peoples & the special needs of their elders.

Perhaps one of the greatest takeaways from this presentation on conducting culturally safe research and programs is the critical reminder to all of us from First Nations people: “Nothing about us, without us.”
